Soms zie je door de bomen het bos niet meer en sóms zie je door de auto’s de weg niet meer. Dit kunstwerk van Gerco van Beek laat een bijzonder liefdesverhaal zien! Gerco (aka Studiovanbeek) is een illustrator uit Leeuwarden en maakt veel tekeningen voor print en nieuwsbladen. Voorheen in de wereld van papier, inkt en waterige verfjes, tegenwoordig veel met computer en iPad, en sinds de Street Art Takeover dus óók op de straat te vinden!
Gerco: “Je ziet allemaal auto’s: ze hebben oren, een staart en voortanden. Ze lijken op ratten. Een man en vrouw zwaaien naar elkaar, maar zien elkaar haast niet meer. Auto’s als ongedierte!”

Gerco van Beek is an illustrator from Leeuwarden who creates artwork for print and newspapers. Once rooted in the world of paper, ink, and watercolor, he now works mainly digitally, and since the Street Art Takeover, you can also find his work out on the streets!
Gerco: “You see all these cars: they’ve got ears, tails, and buck teeth. They look like rats. A man and a woman are waving at each other, but they can hardly see each other anymore. Cars as vermin!”
