Vroeger water, nu een drukke straat. De geschiedenis van de Oude Markten brengt genoeg inspiratie met zich mee! Zo ook voor de raamschildering van Linda Koster.
Linda: “Je ziet het verhaal achter ‘De geschiedenis van de oude markten’. Met de verbindende factor het water dat vroeger door de tweebaksmarkt liep, samen met het groente, fruit en tweebaks-beschuit, dat de boten vervoerden naar de markten. Daarnaast twee mooie en belangrijke gebouwen namelijk het oude postkantoor (Post Plaza) en de Kanselarij. Ik hou van speelse en of geometrische details zoals strepen en stipjes waardoor alles een geheel wordt.”
EN: Once water, now a bustling street. The history of the Old Markets provides plenty of inspiration! This is also the case for the window painting by Linda Koster.
Linda: “You see the story behind ‘The History of the Old Markets’. The connecting factor is the water that used to flow through the two-baked market, along with the vegetables, fruit, and two-baked rusks that the boats transported to the markets. In addition, there are two beautiful and important buildings: the old Post Office (Post Plaza) and the Chancellery. I love playful and/or geometric details like stripes and dots, which bring everything together.”
